The young Swiss woman and U23 Vice -European champion is considered as one of the bright hopes in the international racing arena. This is hardly surprising, since Kathrin practically grew up with professional cycle racing from the cradle. Her father, Beat Stirnemann, is not only her coach but none other than Trainer of the Swiss National Team.
Together with her brother Matthias, a likewise ambitious and successful racing car driver, both were provided from their earliest childhood with the correct bases for a successful career! But to attribute Kathrins' successes only to the favorable conditions would draw a much too narrow picture of the young mountain biker's potential.
